Summer Camp Concerns

Hi everyone and thanks for taking the time to read this post.

As we mentioned in the note that was sent home on Tuesday night, We have noticed far fewer scouts are able to attend this years summer camp than we had expected. The plan as it stands at the moment, is to camp from Saturday the 28th of July to Sunday the 5th of August in Cappanalea OEC in Co. Kerry.

Our current estimated cost for all 9 days of camping and activities, as well as transport, food and all other expenses stands at €450 per scout. Understandably we are reluctant to push this price any higher, and as a result our budget will not be able to support this years summer camp unless more scouts attend.

This is where we need your help:

We understand that many scouts have been forced to back out due to concerns about the cost and dates of the proposed camp, so in order to best decide how we can help we need to know whether it is the date, cost, length or any other aspect of our original plan that concerns you and what changes to any of the above you would like to see before committing to the plan.

Please take another few moments to let us know at this link. All comments are anonymous and confidential, however feel free to leave contact details if you wish to hear back from us.

Yours in scouting,

The Leaders.
